📝 Session Chronicle #414 (19/10/2026) – An evening of inspiration, growth and shared learning at PM PORTUGAL TOASTMASTERS!

🎬 With Paulo Oliveira opening the session and Tiago Borralho guiding us through the evening, we gathered for another inspiring English session, full of ideas, stories and opportunities to grow.

🏋️ Edgar Ramos Varela took us to the gym with his speech “The Dumbness of the Dumbbells”, reminding us of the benefits of physical exercise and drawing some interesting parallels with Toastmasters; showing up at Toastmasters helps us train our communication skills, one session at a time. 💪
🤝 Ana Teresa Pereira challenged us with “What Would You Decide?”, exploring the importance of negotiating the best outcome. A reminder that negotiation is not simply about winning or losing!

🎤 Catarina Creissac de Campos took the opportunity to rehearse a speech she will deliver at an upcoming event. Her speech, “Lending My Voice”, gave us a glimpse of what lies ahead and allowed the audience to provide valuable feedback before the big day.

💬 The evaluation segment brought constructive feedback from Nuno Gomes, Roberto Freitas and Nuno Dias, PMP, helping our speakers identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. Paulo Oliveira evaluated the Table Topics, while Nuno Gomes wrapped up the evening with the general evaluation.

🎲 The Table Topics session, led by Maida Lima, challenged participants to think on their feet and turn unexpected questions into spontaneous answers — proving once again that inspiration often comes when we least expect it!

📚 Our Word of the Day was “#Affordable”, giving us another opportunity to expand our vocabulary and put new words into practice.

🙌 A big thank you to our technical team — Andre Santos, Susana Pereira and Nail Chakir — for keeping an eye on our language, filler words and time. Thanks also to our Sergeant-at-Arms, Paulo Oliveira, and to everyone who joined us, both in person and online.

✨ Another evening reminding us that progress comes from practice, great feedback and the courage to keep trying. Whether we are lifting dumbbells, negotiating better outcomes or preparing for an important speech, every session is another chance to grow!
